To discover the as yet little known valleys of  Verbano Cusio Ossola, CUBE proposes combining winter sports activities with thermal baths. In some of the charming mountain resorts off the beaten track, such as Formazza, situated in the valley of the same name, and Alpe Devero, there is cross-country skiing and freeriding, besides snowshoe walking.   These activities are rounded off  by opportunities for complete relaxation. Not only are there the thermal baths of  Val Antigorio, but there are also enchanting fishing villages on the Borromeo islands, splendid towns such as Stresa along the shores of  Lake Maggiore, and the wonderful parks of  Pallanza.  Accommodation can be provided either in the luxury hotels along the lakes’ shores or in the traditional restored  locanda   walzer, typical inns of this part of the world.
